About the Program
The Graduate School of Nursing at Chiba University is pleased to offer a newly initiated international graduate program (International Program for Nursing Science) which will allow international master-course students to effectively learn about recent advances at the frontiers of nursing science and art.
This is especially designed for international students to provide a basis for further research preparation. The program prepares individuals with in-depth knowledge and experience in their selected area of practice. Most course work including master’s thesis is offered in English. Therefore it is ideal for students who have not yet gained proficiency in Japanese.
Upon graduation, students will have a scientific and theoretical base for advanced nursing roles in their selected area of nursing; can participate in research activity and transfer research findings to practice; can contribute to the formulation or refinement theory; and can respond to the health care concerns of society.

About the Program
The Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) Program for International Students at the Chiba University Graduate School of Nursing prepares nurse scientists capable of developing new knowledge necessary to advance nursing practice and serving as leaders to shape the future of nursing. The program is especially designed for international students with aspirations to conduct original research, generate theory, and make a contribution towards health.
The program provides the theoretical and scientific knowledge necessary for scholarly pursuit in nursing. The program also offers research and scholarly opportunities that stimulate research on clinically-related issues through partnerships with colleagues and mentorship by faculty experts.
