Features
Our founding principle of community-rooted improvements in medicine and welfare is the cornerstone of all of our education, research, clinical and community service work. We place a strong focus on opening our doors to young people from Hokkaido, with a system in which around 50% of the places in our courses are given to local students. We have also established a strong remote medical support network connecting our Telemedicine Center with various other medical facilities to reduce the gap in medical care caused by a shortage or uneven distribution of doctors. This is accompanied by a continuous medical support framework using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) to contribute to medical support overseas.
